HRC-002

  • HRC-002, formerly known as 2000-010-008, is an Elite Line experimental public hop from the USDA breeding program. Originally crossed in 2010, it’s mother is Nugget and it’s father 21328M. Agronomically HRC-002 is remarkable for being a very early maturer, often ready to harvest nearly a week before most varieties and shows promise as a good yielder.

  • Moderately intense with stone fruit, specifically black plum, jammy sweetness, slight pine, citrus, and overall a very purple experience.

  • In the rub HRC-002, falls between classic American C hops and the more modern bright tropical hops.

    In limited brewing trials to date it has performed well in hop forward styles.

HRC-003

  • HRC-003, formerly known as W1108-333, is an Elite Line experimental public hop from the USDA breeding program. It’s mother is Brewers Gold and it’s father 64103M.

  • Hugely intense with ripe peach, mango, and more tropical notes. Punchy and sweet.

  • HRC-003 rubs like modern aroma hops. HRC-003 has the most intense aroma of the current experimental public hop varieties.

    In limited brewing trials HRC-003 has contributed strong white peach/white grape and stone fruit notes.

    Ranked #1 in the single hop brewing trials during the 2020 Winter Hop Research Council meeting in Portland.
